Miranda’s Story

It was an honor to create this documentary highlighting the beautiful impact of Emerge Mothers Academy as part of their 10th annual fundraiser, Splurge for Emerge!

Telling this story with honesty and heart was our approach to filming with Miranda and her daughter on a late summer Saturday near Lake Bde Maka Ska. The interview was conducted at the new Center of Belonging in Uptown, Minneapolis, home of Emerge Mothers Academy HQ and a host of other community support organizations. 

The film premiered at the gala in October to a room of people invested in coming alongside mom-lead families; Emerge Mothers Academy met their fundraising goal that night.
